Richard’s Story

It was during Richard’s very first job working at a CPA office when he started to feel the excitement that comes along working with multiple clients in different industries and various company sizes, all seeking how to tackle a multitude of Accounting, Finance, Payroll and Administration tasks. Despite all the differences working for a wide-range of clientele, it was very clear that all the firms shared similar business purposes and goals: offer value through products and/or services, increase and sustain profitability, grow and create new business opportunities. Working onsite at retail stores, restaurants, film production studios, radio stations, tech firms, etc. opened up the gates to experience and learn the many facets of business and testing his problem-solving on a daily basis. Anything from “setting up cash registers” to “taking boxes of unorganized receipts from a film production in South America and accounting for them properly” to “developing budgets” to “closing the books and filing taxes” was on the agenda. For Richard it was an incredible and often fun experience leading to great career opportunities in the coming years.

Fast-forward a few years, and as Controller Richard was responsible for Finance, HR, Administration and Facilities at some of the most prestigious architecture and design firms in the United States, creating cash-flow and tax strategies, implementing data-driven financial processes and procedures to manage the businesses for growth and expansion, and ensuring day-to-day operational reliability. The pinnacle of success came with the ground-breaking acquisition of LUNAR, an award-winning design studio in San Francisco, in which he was responsible for integrating and synchronizing all financial infrastructures and administrative aspects with McKinsey & Company.

Today, Richard offers his many years of experience, knowledge, and a sensitivity towards people and business needs, always with a keen eye on profitability and strategic growth to help individuals and an organization thrive.
